Custom Plastic Injection Molding for the Aerospace Industry
Bright Plastics works with companies that provide products and solutions for commercial aircraft interiors. We assist in the design and development of injection molded plastic products that make air travel safer and more comfortable for passengers.
- Our engineering team recently assisted our customer in the design of a more durable recline mechanism for passenger seats that will withstand repetitive bending and pressure from different body types and temperaments that use this function. We tested several materials before recommending one with the necessary tolerance that was approved for production.
- After helping our customer with the design, we manufactured various parts of the seatback system for airline seats.
- We assisted in the design, then produced an electronic housing system for a weapon platform used by the US military.
As is our standard procedure with any product we manufacture, prototypes are produced, tested, and approved before we move to full production. We follow a stringent Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) before, after and during manufacture.
Our Quality Management System requires a strict compliance to industry policies and procedures for manufacturing. Among other earned certifications for our manufacturing standards, we are ISO 9001:2008 Certified and UL Certified.
